I just about feel like I've abandoned this site. I haven't been doing much for programming, and my personal blog is elsewhere, so I've been pretty much not been able to talk about much here because of that. (although Danalyn has made some updates to her Title Images Module, you might want to check that out.)
Therefore, I think this calls for a change of format for this site. I'm considering making this a programming blog site for anything that I might create. I think I'll keep the name though, because this site will still primarily be about Expression Engine. But in general, it will be about boring, nerdy programming stuff.
You may also notice that I've put a donations button on the front page. That's all I'll say about that. :)
If you want to read about my mis-adventures, however, feel free to come to my personal site, hello! yoshi

No, no, not really "weird" as in unusual. This is just a different kind of contest. Who knows what the prize will be, however, shoot on over to It's all Greek to Me and you'll find a contest showing how well you think you know the GreekGoddess herself.
Of course, if you don't know her already, you'll probably want to rummage through her posts, and see what she's all about. Because that's what the contest is about. Writing the about section for the website. Sound weird? Yeah, it's different, but very interesting to say the least. She hasn't mentioned what the prize is, however, I'm sure it'll be a good prize. If nothing else, it will be a lot of fun.
I certainly hope she will show some of the runner ups!

Ok, so imagine my surprise, when I found out that this site has been nominated for the "just bloggin'" category of the Blogathon.
I'd like to thank everyone who put my name in for nomination. Ok, I can't continue any longer! *tears up* Talk amongst yourselves. Go on go on.

Ok, due to a crazy issue with counting the number of links in a linklist, combined with upgrading your PHP, an issue has cropped up. You may get this error:
Please re-download the latest linklist module ZIP and replace your mod.linklist.php file. You may not be experiencing this problem, but should still replace the file to prevent future problems.

Ok, here's the situation. I have a HTPC running Beyond TV. I presently run Windows XP Home on it, but I'm considering changing that to XP Media Center edition. I'm using an ATI Radeon All-in-wonder card to watch everything on my TV, and the Hauppage Video Capture card to plug in my cable. I'm also using the firefly remote which is awesome for Beyond TV (well, they were made for each other!)
My question is pretty simple. If I upgrade Windows to the Windows XP Media Center edition, can I totally get rid of BeyondTV? Will there be compatibility issues with my current PC and video cards in my system to the new XP Media Center?

Ok, I read an entry on Breigh's site, and she talks about this one odd time that would probably make anyone question their sanity. (I know I would.) It's a very interesting story, and inspired me to talk about one of my own experiences.
Now imagine this. It's Halloween. (of course it is. You know it's not interseting if it's not All Hallow's Eve.) A group of my friends and I are sitting around talking about spooky stories. Someone then decides to bring up the Ouija Board. (of course.) So we're playing the Ouija. A bit of backstory, I've done the ouija board many times, and have even been witness to it, but never touched it and it still talks about me and odd things that no one doing it knows about me. It's too freaky, but that's another story.
So we're all sitting around the ouija board, and talking to spirits and such. All fun until our friend Cricket starts laughing. If you knew our friend Cricket, think of the name, she's just like it. She couldn't have stood any taller than 5 feet tall, very cutesy voice, overall, just a "hello, i'm chipper" kinda girl. She starts with a small laugh, then starts to chuckle. If you know Cricket, she never "chuckles." It sounds so different. So creepy. And all at once, the other 2 people in the room and I lock eyes. And we say, at the same time. "I just got the chills." Cricket at this point is continuing to laugh, and has her eyes shut, but turns her head to one of my friends. With a deep, husky voice, she says, "Hello."
So come to find out, it's not Cricket sitting there, but instead it's a woman who's been dead for over a 100 years (or so who knows.) and she was raped and killed. Whoa. She claimed her name was Alexandria and she was "borrowing' Crickets body for just a short time. The entire time, it was really creepy. I mean, at first, we thought that Cricket was just pretending. You know, ha ha, all fun and games, smoke and mirrors. But no, she (Alexandria) insisted that this was real.
Finally I had enough. I left the room because I was really getting creeped out and one of our friends finally convinced "Alexandria" to let Cricket have her body back. Looking back, Cricket acted as if she just woke up, and knew that some time had passed, but she didn't know or remember what happened. I suppose she was probably lying all this time, but you know. If you were in that room, you'd understand that it was very creepy. Very, very creepy.
Do I belive in ghosts? Sure. I believe in something. I don't know what it is, but I believe.
If you could be on any reality TV show, which one would you pick and why?
I would have to say Hell's Kitchen. Because I love to cook, I've always wanted my own restaraunt, I'd love to hang out with Gordon Ramsay, even if he's yelling at me. I'd love every minute of it, even if it was miserable!
Plus, I'm sure you get to eat some decent food once a while.

Appetizer : Name an actor or actress you think is totally underappreciated.
Bruce Campbell. Seriously. Look at the man. Look at the talent. The book. The movies. The man is seriously underappreciated. But through all the movies and the book, I seriously think he was the best as Autolycus in the Hercules and Xena series. I mean seriously, he was the man! I loved him, the king of thieves? Hell yeah!
Soup : Impress us by using a big word in a sentence.
Can you spell supercalifragilisticexpealadocious? (because I obviously cannot)
Salad : What is something inanimate that you've given a name to (such as a pet rock)?
Matilda. Guess what I name Matilda, and i'll give you a cookie. And if you can guess where the name came from, I'll give you a BIG cookie. :) ( Don't worry, you can find out the answer below. - For you RSS Readers, you'll actually have to visit the site to see the answer! )
Main Course : What color would best represent your personality and why?
Purple. Because it's all about purple. Just ask Prince. (or is he called the symbol guy or is he known as the artist formerly known as prince?) I'm so behind.
Dessert : Fill in the blanks: ____________ is so ____________.
That is so yesterday. I hear this all the time. I guess I must be out of the times or something because I always hear it in reference to me. Or did you say to yourself, "Purple is so yesterday" when you saw my Main Course? :P
Answer: It's my car. Now, if you think you know where I got the name for the car, then leave a comment, and i'll let you know if you're right via email. Guesses are more than welcome of course. And for this answer, there are 2 possible answers, I will accept both. LOL got you thinking? This all depends on how well you know me, or how much alike we think. :)
What is your current computer desktop image? Let's see it!
I don't have a desktop wallpaper. Because I'm lame like that, I like a black desktop with nothing but my icons that I have showing. Boring I know, but after a while, it's the fastest and bestest way for me. Plus I don't get distracted by thinking about what I should have for my desktop next.

Nice to see you post about paranormal stuff. :)Someone told me that the Ouija board draws negative power and uses... read more
